William “Bill” Tangorra, 74, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away Sunday June 10, 2018. Born and raised in Nutley, NJ, he also resided in Syracuse, NY, Langhorne, PA, and Grand Rapids, MI. He attended Augusta Military Academy in Fort Defiance, Virginia before working for Kastner Furniture, Kroehler Furniture, and King Koil Mattress Company for over 25 years.

He was a member of the Nutley Elks and the Optimist Club. He was very active in Taft Road Little League and coached all three of his sons. Bill was a devoted husband, father, son and brother.

He enjoyed good food, travel and spending time with family and friends. Survivors Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Rosalyn Della Penna; three sons, William Jr. (Linnea) of Merrimac, MA, Christopher (Deidre) of Wilton, CT, Anthony (Sara) of Grand Rapids, MI. “Poppy” will be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his loving sisters, Rosanna Tangorra and Carol Tangorra of Nutley, NJ. Bill also leaves behind many beloved cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Jean Tangorra of Nutley, NJ.

Services A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Ave. , Nutley, NJ on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at 12:00pm. Donations Memorial donations in memory of Bill may be made to: Special Young Adults, 83 Franklin Avenue, Nutley, NJ 07110 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
