William “Friedell” Hinton, age 79 of Rineyville, KY died Monday, May 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Axtel, KY on January 16, 1940, the son of the late Vachel and Edna Rhodes Hinton. Friedell was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel and attended St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.

He was the former owner and operator of Hinton’s Service Center Boat Shop in Axtel and a retired heavy equipment operator with Salmon Construction. He served 12 years as a board member for the Breckinridge County Board of Education. Friedell had many interests that include hunting, fishing, motorcycles, work, raising and breeding wire fox terriors.

Friedell is survived by his wife Barbara of Rineyville, KY 2 sons – Brian Hinton (Lisa) of Peoria, AZ and Kevin Hinton (Dianna) of Prospect, KY stepson – Scott Eaton (Renee’) of Cypress, TX 4 grandchildren: Alex and Olivia Hinton, Michael and Drake Eaton 4 brothers – John Hinton (Kathy) of Shepherdsville, KY Celest Hinton (Bonnie), Arnold Hinton (Joyce) and Tommy Hinton (Lisa) of Axtel, KY 3 sisters – Lavone Pendleton (Ed) of Lebanon, KY Lynn Powers (John) of Hawesville, KY Joyce Geary (Danny) of Leitchfield, KY many nieces, nephews and cousins Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel, KY on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, 4-8 PM and Saturday 8 – 10:30 AM.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM on Friday. All times are central. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Hospice of Central Kentucky 105 Diecks Drive Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
