William “Ken” Gibson, Jr., 55, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Sunday morning, June 10, 2018 at his home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5-7 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Ken was born July 31,1962 in Columbus, Georgia to the late William Kenneth Gibson, Sr. and Mildred Self Gibson.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Alabama football fan, enjoyed fishing, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Ken was a commercial and residential painter. Surviving are his wife, Melissa Carlette Floyd, children, Melissa Core (Brandon), Del Gilley, Jr., and Kendall Louise Gibson (Xavier Brown), brother, David Gibson, sister, Karen Barber, 4 grandchildren, Delana Gilley, Brennan Core, Zoey Core, and Zaedyn Brown.
