Struthers- William Louis Vasko, died May 17, 2018 at Caprice Health Center. William was born August 27, 1944 in Youngstown, son of Margaret Vasko, nephew of Helen Demyen and grandson of Julia and Louis Demjen. He graduated from Struthers High School in 1962.

He was an accomplished saxophone player and self-taught at computer literacy and programming which he enjoyed as a hobby. William worked at Hynes Industries for 33 years, retiring in 2002 after which he continued working part-time as a driver for Enterprise Rent-a-Car until 2016. He considered himself a Christian and attended Liturgy at St. George Byzantine Church.

William is survived by his niece, Sue Wash and her mother Kay Wash who’s husband Edward Wash and William where more like brothers than first cousins. Edward passed away previously. He also leaves a few cousins among which were Darlene and Louis Demjen III.

Per William’s requests there will be no calling hours. A service will be held Thursday at 10:00AM at Tod Homestead Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
