New Middletown – Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, New Middletown, for Donna L. Mincher, 79, who passed away Monday at Salem Regional Hospital Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Donna was born Aug. 5, 1938 in Youngstown to parents Irvin and Marjorie (Lambert) Hoehnle and was the Salutatorian of the Springfield Local Class of 1956.

Donna spent her lifetime caring for her loved ones: her husband, children and grandchildren. The two most important things in her life were her relationship with Jesus and her family. Donna was a beautiful singer and poet, having published “Broken Nets for the Mender” in Our Daily Bread magazine many years ago.

She enjoyed flower arranging and journaling her precious thoughts in her spare time. Donna leaves her husband Donald, whom she married on February 16, 1957. She also leaves four children, Jeffrey of New Middletown, Gregory (Jeanine) of New Middletown, Brent (Cathy) of Bridgeport, W. Va.

, and Marjorie (Shawn) Olson of Lowellville; five grandchildren, Rachel (Chet) Dicke of Marietta, Ga. , Arielle (Jeremy) Lester of Ravenna, Graham Mincher of New Middletown, Matthew Mincher of New Castle, Pa. and Meralee Olson of Lowellville; and one great-grandchild, Everett Dicke.

She also leaves a brother Fred (Sue) Hoehnle of Estevan (SK), Canada, and sisters Lois (Karl) Reader of Westlake, Ohio and Judy (Jerry) Pondy of Scottsdale, Arizona along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Clemente Funeral Home, New Middletown.

Calling hours will also be at 10 am (one hour before services) on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Main St. New Middletown Ohio.
