New Middletown – A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown for Ann M. Cherpack, 95, who passed away on June 19, 2018 at Sunrise Assisted Living. Ann was born August 26, 1922 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Catherine Elchishin Sosnosky. Ann spent most of her life as a homemaker and a wonderful mother.

Up until the age of 92, she loved to go on daily walks and was known as “that lady you can’t catch up to”. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church where for a number of years she was a part of the pirogy group. She married George Cherpack on June 9, 1945.

They enjoyed traveling together after retirement. Ann leaves two sons, Dennis Cherpack of New Middletown and David Cherpack of Boardman; one daughter Shirley (Carl) Booksing of New :Middletown; four grandchildren Brian, Carl, Kelly and Michael and seven great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Sovik, of Florida; and a caring friend Patricia Childress and a very special niece, Patricia Billett. Ann was preceded in death by her husband George who died August 25, 2000 and her brothers Joseph, William, Michael and her twin, Steve.

The family wishes to thank Sunrise Assisted Living Memory Care Unit for the loving care they gave Ann during the past year and Crossroads Hospice for their compassion.
