Lowellville – Virginia Brown, 89, died June 6, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs.Brown was born February 14, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Mary Dutton Churan. She was a homemaker and her favorite past times were watching TV, her favorite show was Family Feud.

Virginia also enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the trains, cooking, and baking. Her husband, Leo James Brown Jr., whom she married Feb. 7, 1948, died June 15, 1981.

She is survived by her children, Joanne (Richard) Stouffer of Lowellville, Donna (Jeff Durbin) Brown of Lowellville, Leo James (Elizabeth) Brown III of Struthers, and Michael Brown with whom she made her home; one sister, Martha Churan of Lowellville; eight grandchildren, Rick (Sharon) Stouffer III, Sherry (Jose) Sanchez, Lorie (Paul) Wilson, James (Vicki Phillips) Brown, Gino Brown, Krysten (Tom Lightner) Brown, Crystal Golec, and Jamie Brown; 18 great-grandchildren which include her oldest, Allison Wereb. Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by one son, Russell Brown; two sisters, Louise Husak and Dorothy Churan; and one brother, Mike Churan Jr. Services will be held at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville, Saturday at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Lowellville.

Friends and family will be received Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Boardman ICU for their excellent care. Condolences may be sent at www.
