Margaret (Peg) Louise Polya, 77, of Salem, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at her daughters home in North Port, Florida. Peg was born on May 19,1941 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, a daughter of David and Jennie Mae (Beck) Dunmire. She made her home in Newton Falls before moving to Salem.

Peg was one of the first women hired at General Motors Lordstown in 1971. She spent eighteen years as a welder in the Body Shop and was a proud member of UAW Local 1112. She met her husband, George T Polya while working there and they were wed on October 27, 1973.

They were married nearly 40 years when George passed away on July 7, 2013. In the last five years she enjoyed splitting her time between her kids homes enjoying her family. She leaves a son, George (Alena) Klass of Salem; a daughter, Vicky Cramer of North Port, Florida; five grandchildren, Bryan (Kristen) Cramer, Savanna (Mike) Barton, Zackary Klass, Amanda (Fritz) Foraker and Mark Cramer; four great-grandchildren, Evan Barton, Austin Barton, Moxie Cramer and Evangeline Foraker.

She also leaves her siblings, Shirley (Tom) Watkins, Dee (Sonny) Johnson and Bill (Donna) Dunmire and a sister-in-law, Gerry (Al) Frederick. A special thank you to John Soltis, for your love and support this last year. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Dunmire and her son-in-law, Randy Cramer.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 2, 2018 in the chapel at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Canfield. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman.
