SEBRING – David Eric Hatcher passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Crandall Medical Center of Copeland Oaks after a long illness. Mr. Hatcher was born May 11, 1945, in Youngstown, to the late Marjorie and David Hatcher. He graduated from Boardman High School in 1963, where he participated in several sports.

He attended the University of Miami in Florida on a football scholarship, and graduated from Findlay College in 1968. After obtaining a teaching credential through Slippery Rock State College, he taught and coached at West Branch Schools and Jackson-Milton Schools. Beginning with the William B. Pollock Co. in 1974, he worked in the steel industry as a machinist and machine shop supervisor until retiring from Severstal Warren, Inc. in 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Carole (Pastors); his two daughters, Meredith (Steven) Hromadka and Kathryn (Ralph) DiSylvestro; grandchildren Micah and Nadia Hromadka and Anna and Ava DiSylvestro; his sister, Becky (Terry) Murray; niece Beth Murray; nephew Eric Murray; and brother-in-law, Richard Pastors. A private memorial service was held for family. Arrangements were provided by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home.
