William Philip Butt, 77, passed on to Heaven on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 3 p.m.Bill was a devoted Christian and had a feeling that Jesus was calling him home. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from the Summit County Sheriff’s Department. Survived by his wife, Willadean; step-son, Thomas F. (Patricia) Scott; grandson, Jacob Scott; twin sister, Roberta (Bob) Faloon; special friends, Jon Imoff, Michael McCray, Rick Frecka and his son, David Frecka; along with other family members and friends.

The family would like to thank Summa Akron City Hospital, Summa Home Hospice and the caregivers at Senior Helpers for all the care Bill received. Following Bill’s wishes private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors conducted by Firestone VFW 3383.
