William R. Lynch, 70, of Milford, DE passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at home. Bill was born in Milford, DE the son of the late H. William and Gladys Lynch. He was a graduate of Milford High School and received his Associates Degree from Delaware Technical & Community College.

He began working for Kraft General Foods in Dover in 1968 as a food scientist, retiring on disability in 1994. He had 15 patents of note during his long career at Kraft General Foods. Bill was an avid collector.

He loved his family as well as his extended family and was affectionately known by the neighborhood children as “Uncle Bill”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son William C. Lynch and two sisters Beverly Webb and Deborah Zelensky. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Victoria A. (Southard) Lynch; one sister Kimberly Billings and her husband Powell; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 1 – 2 pm on Thursday, June 28, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Faithful Friends Animal Shelter, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804. Letters of condolence may be sent and shared with the family at www. loflandandmcknatt.com.
