Obituary for William W. Skaggs Mr. William Wilson Skaggs of the Knifley community passed from this life on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born on December 29, 1940 to the late William Edgar and Ruby Lee (Sanders) Skaggs, he was 77 years, 8 months, and 13 days of age. Mr. Skaggs professed faith in Christ and was a faithful member of the Whites Ridge Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee of the Parker-Kalon factory in Campbellsville, wher he had worked for 34 years. He also enjoyed working outside, spending time with his family, and raising a garden and ten acres of tobacco. He leaves to mourn his passing: His wife: Regina (Perkins) Skaggs, Two sons: Ron Skaggs and wife Monika of Jeffersonville, IN, and William Anthony Skaggs of Campbellsville, One sister: Judy Wumser of Campbellsville, Three grandchildren: Lisa Stumler and husband Evan of Jeffersonville, IN, Anna Skaggs of Jeffersonville, IN, and Holly Marie Brockman of Casey County, One great-grandchild, And a host of other family and close friends.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Gaw. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Skaggs on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro.
Dickie Rodgers will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 14, from 5:00-8:00.
Preston Forrest, Matt Forrest, Darrell Sherrell, Danny Newton, Bill Epperson, and Johnie Parker will serve as pallbearers.
