Obituary for JW Garnett James W. “Jack” Garnett of Campbellsville, son of the late Richard Lee Garnett and Elizabeth Pearl Walters Garnett, was born March 3, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:50 P.M., Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Lexington. Age: 86 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Jack served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom where he worked for forty six and a half years. He was also a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F&AM.
Jack united in marriage to Marie Bell on January 9, 1952. Besides his wife, Marie Garnett of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Donna Clark and husband, Kim; one granddaughter, Jackie Fair; three great-grandchildren: Thomas Hafley, Jacob Hafley and Jaclyn Fair; one sister, JoAnn Waller, all of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Wallace Garnett and Jewell Wright.
