Obituary for Marian Acree Mrs. Marion Davis Sanders Acree of Owensboro, Kentucky, daughter of the late Paul Sanders and Mary Louise Coffey Sanders, was born on Friday, February 1, 1929 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Owensboro. She was 89 years, 6 months, and 25 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church.

She was a homemaker and a former kindergarten teacher for Valley Station Baptist Church School. Survived by her husband of 71 years, Edwin Ray Acree of Owensboro, formerly of Greensburg, having united in marriage on May 17, 1947. Other survivors include two daughters and three sons-in-law: Donna and Jim Harley of Owensboro, Marlies and George Wagner of Pennsylvania, and Joe Hammond of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren: James Harley, Jr., Autumn Barron, Shawn Trujillo, Olivia Trujillo, Kayla Hammond Honaker, Emily Hammond, and Brianne Hammond Reed; eight great-grandchildren: Peyton Harley Nix , Jake Harley, Will Barron, Ben Barron, Maddie Barron, Bella Honaker, Brantley Honaker, and Cole Honaker; a great-great-grandchild: Raylen Harley; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Acree was also preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Beth Hammond; a granddaughter: Erica Trujillo; and four sisters: Lelia Penick, Mary Lucy Slinker, Dorothy Carle, and Helen Lyons. ………………………………… The funeral services for Mrs. Marion Davis Sanders Acree will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Central Time, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Greensburg Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg are in charge of the funeral arrangements. Visitation is requested after 10 A.M., Central Time Saturday at the Greensburg Baptist Church until time of the funeral service.
