William “Pat” Rogers age 93, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was born on June 2, 1925 in Patmos, Arkansas, the son of the late Leonard Leroy Rogers and Rosa Etta Johnson Rogers. On June 7, 1946, he married his high school sweetheart, Lola Lay Rogers.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church. He worked as an electrician for many years for AP&L before managing his own business.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed. Pat was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gary Lee Rogers; four sisters, Myrtie Freeman, Murlene Riggs, Narvelle Crews, and Louise Reynolds, and one brother, Edward Rogers. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lola Rogers of Hot Springs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Buck and Virginia Rogers of Hot Springs, Randall and Celeste Rogers of Benton, and Steven and J Lee Rogers of Conway; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs with Pastor Scott Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hot Springs, with military honors by the honor guards of the United States Navy and the Thaddeus H. Caraway VFW Post 2278. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and family. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Kyle Roper and staff, as well as Hospice of Central Arkansas. Guest Registry is at www.
