Obituary for Willie Mae McGee Willie Mae McGee, 85 of Florence passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 20, at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Church of Christ with Carl Seigenthaler and Marion Holt officiating.

She will lie-in-state from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lessie Stricklin; sisters, Mabel Walker and Christine Holt; and great-grandson, Jayden Williamson.

She was a member at New Hope Church of Christ for over 60 years. Willie Mae is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Floyd “Flookie” McGee; son, Harold McGee (Donna); daughter, Katrina Bates (Michael); brother, G.W. Stricklin (Katie); grandchildren, Lance McGee (Jessica), Megan McGee, Justin and Mallory Bates, Colton Murphy, and Tiffany Reeder (Justin); great-grandchildren, Madlin, Ally, Tucker, and Kynlee McGee; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly. Pallbearers are grandsons, Lance McGee and Justin Bates; Bradley Grigsby, Don Robinson, Charles McGee, and Lawrence Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Doug Robinson, Dale Robinson, Greg Grigsby, David Robinson, Robert Earl Walker, Jerry White, David Stricklin, and Jeff McGee The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and respect shown to them from the staff of Kindred Hospice, Dr. Therese Lango and her staff, and Dr. Danny McFall and his staff. We would also like to thank New Hope Church of Christ for all the love and support shown to us during her illness.
