She was born on June 15, 1936 in OKC to Adolph and Willmah Rieger. Wilma graduated from Central High School in 1954.

She worked alongside her husband running their Heat & Air business. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Rieger; and sister, June Ann Rieger. Wilma is survived by her husband James Davis “J.D.” Benedict; children, David Benedict (Carol), Sharoyn Tomlinson (Jerry), and Brad Benedict; her sister Patsy Naeher (Mike); four grandchildren, Travis, Lucretia (Travis), Michelle (Patrick), Carrie (Kyle); along with nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Services to celebrate her life will be 10 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service.
