Obituary for Wilodean McReynolds Wilodean “Dean” Shelton McReynolds, age 97 of Springfield, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2pm at the Springfield First United Methodist Church with Reverend Jerry Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 12:30pm until the hour of service at 2pm. Mrs. McReynolds was born September 16, 1921 to the late Harry Gaines and Mae Crafton Shelton of Logan County, KY. She was a homemaker and member of the Springfield First United Methodist church.

She dedicated her entire life to Christ, her home and her family. In addition to her parents Mrs. McReynolds is preceded in death by her husband, James Chesterfield “J.C.” McReynolds, Jr., brothers and sister-in-law, Morris Shelton and Earl and Parthy Shelton. Mrs. McReynolds is survived by her son, Steve (Sheree) McReynolds of Hendersonville; daughter, Deanna M. (Charles) Winkler of Nashville; sister-in-law, Hattie Shelton; grandchildren, Deborah M. (Dan) Knight, Chip Winkler, Mark Winkler and Shea McReynolds Robbins; great-grandchildren, Victoria Malone, Caleb Malone, Daniel Knight, Austin Knight and Justin Winkler; and great-great-grandchild, Cadence Robbins.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Springfield First United Methodist Church. Any donations may be sent in c/o Austin & Bell. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
