Woodrow “Woody” Cornett, 68, of Westville, passed away peacefully at 3:52 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso, IN. He was born January 4, 1950, in Gary, IN, to Woodrow and Mary (Hauser) Cornett, Sr. Woody was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an accomplished gardener.

Woody was affectionately known as “Big Dog” and will be dearly missed for his elaborate storytelling abilities. Surviving… Read More » are five children, Woodrow “Woody” (Kristine) Cornett, III of Crown Point, Chad (Tracy) Cornett of Westville, Shantrece London of Union Mills, Jason (Jessi) Cornett of Hanna and Adam (Candice) Cornett of Michigan City; five brothers; Twenty-six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Preceding in death were his parents.
