Yin Nguen Yu, 73, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, at his home on Sunset Drive in St. Johnsbury, Vt. Yin was born in Guangzhou, China, on December 13, 1944, son to Sun Lok and Kam Cha Yu. He was raised in China then moved to Hong Kong.

In February of 1963, he married his lovely wife, Annie. Together they moved to Boston, MA. In 1982, they moved to this area settling on Sunset Drive.

Yin enjoyed fishing and shooting. He also liked to travel to China and California. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Annie Yu of St. Johnsbury, Vt; 3 sons: Richard Yu of Derry, NH, Tim Yu and wife, Amy, of St. Johnsbury, and Joseph Yu of St. Johnsbury; a daughter: Sheila Yu-Chen and husband, Ming Chen, of Derry, NH; a sister: Wanda Tam of Calgary, Canada; 6 grandchildren: Richard, Victoria, Alexandria, Joshua, Christine, and Isabelle; 2 great-grandchildren: Kameron and Jayden; and many cousins around the world.

Visiting hours will be Thursday evening, June 14, 2018, 6-8PM at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, Vt. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 15, 2018, 11AM at Sayles Funeral Home with burial following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
