St. Johnsbury, VT: Richard Leo Koslowsky, age 71, of Lafayette Street, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Monday evening July 2, 2018, following a brief battle with cancer. Richard was born in Boston, MA, on December 31, 1946. He was raised and educated in E. Bridgewater, MA and graduated from the “University of Paris Island”.

He served proudly in the U.S. Marines in Vietnam for 3 years, and was a member of the VFW 793 and the American Legion Post # 58 . Richard operated Skis Autobody in E. Bridgewater for many years before moving to Lisbon, NH opening the Lisbon Convenience Store with his former wife, Deborah. They ran the store for a number of years living in Lisbon and Gilman and raised three children there.

He came to St. Johnsbury about 10 years ago continuing his retirement and enjoyed his time, especially with family, to hunt, fish and go camping. He is survived by a son: Frank Koslowsky and wife, Yvette, of Wells River, VT, 2 daughters: Lisa Smith and husband, Travis, of St. Johnsbury, Holy Placey and partner, Jason Porier, of Benton, NH; and 6 grandchildren. Services will be private and there will be no calling hours.
