David Jason Wood, age 55, passed away at his home surrounded by his family Sunday, October 28, 2018, following a long battle with cancer. David was born on May 10, 1963, in Woodsville, NH, son to the late Douglas Lloyd and Joyce (Bailey) Wood. David was raised and educated in Woodsville, N.H. Dave worked as a logger and farmer all his life, loved nature and the outdoors.

He enjoyed gardening, canoeing, picking fiddleheads and spending time at Old Orchard Beach. Dave is survived by his wife of 15 years, Julie (Wright) Wood of E. Ryegate; 2 sons: Jason of Haverhill, NH and Timothy of TX; 2 step-children: Jessica Miner of West Topsham and Jeffrey Harris of Pike, NH; 3 brothers: Douglas Wood of Monroe, NH, Thomas and Brent Wood each of Bath, NH; 3 sisters: Christine Higham of Sandown, NH, Diane Allsop of Littleton and Heather Sulham of Bath; 8 grandchildren: Blake, Tristin, Trinity and Bentley Wood and step grandchildren: Jacob, Izaac and Leah Hathaway and Skylar McKinney; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents David was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth in 1994.
