Lower Waterford, VT: Frederick C. Bullock, age 93, of Lower Waterford, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, September 14, 2018, with family by him. Fred was born in Lower Waterford, VT, on June 4, 1925, son to the late Frank Chandler and Lola (Ainsworth) Bullock. He was raised and educated there going to the Lower Waterford School and graduating from Littleton High School in the Class of 1943.

He spent most all his life in Waterford, living a short time in Ryegate and Lyndonville. He married the former Ruth Tobin and shared the next 67 years together until the time of her death in 2014. His working career started at Kilfasset Farms, then Poulson Lumber and for the next 27 years at Ralston Purina, often delivering grain all over Vermont, New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts, and he enjoyed this the most.

Following his time there he worked installing milking systems for McLaren for a number of years and then spent the last 10 years before he retired with the Town of Waterford. Fred loved traveling the back roads, was an avid reader of non-fiction of everything from encyclopedias to history books. He loved history and always kept on learning, taking numerous correspondence courses over the years in electrical, plumbing and you name it.

Fred was a long-time and founding member of the Union Baptist Church. He loved his family and his Lord. Fred is survived by his 3 sons: Michael F. Bullock and his wife, Donna, of Enfield, CT, Frank C. Bullock of Lower Waterford, VT, William D. Bullock of Bolton, VT, 2 daughters: Linda D. Bullock of Lower Waterford, Theresa Davio of Adams, MA, 2 brothers: George Bullock and wife, Linda, of Lower Waterford, David Bullock and wife , Gloria, of North Carolina, 2 sisters: Helen Barrett and husband, Kenneth, of Sutton, VT, Irene Courser of Simsbury, CT, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by 2 daughters: Darlene R. Bullock, Cheryl E. McElroy, son-in-law: Patrick J. McElroy, great-grandson: Connor M. Bullock, brother: Henry Bullock, and 2 sisters: Lina Powers and Gwendolyn Lorenzen. A Graveside Service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at the Lower Waterford Cemetery on Lower Waterford Road with Rev. Clifton Bullock officiating.
