Zoe Constance Bauerlein Mosher , March 06, 1938 — June 28, 2018

Zoe Constance Mosher passed away at 3:10 AM, June 28th. Connie was born March 6, 1938 in Salt Lake City Utah, daughter of Honor Margaret Buell and Theodore Charles Bauerlein. She graduated from University of Washington in Seattle and moved with her husband to Beirut Lebanon in .

1965 She is survived by her two daughters, Kirsten Mosher and Honor Mosher and her granddaughters Lily Fife Schaeufele and Hallie Rose Cullinane. Her brother Jim Bauerlein and sister Toni Bauerlein are also residents of Buckland. After returning from Lebanon Connie and her family moved to Washington DC where she raised her daughters and later undertook a profession in Real Estate.

After her children were off in college Connie decided to become a nurse. That had been a dream of hers from childhood. At the age of 50 she enrolled in Johns Hopkins school of Nursing in Baltimore Md.

Graduating in 1990, she did her residency at the Johns Hopkins hospital and then moved West to Arizona, where she worked in the ER at the Tuba City Regional Hospital on the Navajo reservation. Constance moved back East to Shelburne Falls in 2002 where members of her family were creating homes on land left them by their aunt, Lois Buell. This was an opportunity to be closer to her children and newly arriving grandchildren.

She designed and oversaw the building of her lovely house in the Buckland Hills. While living in Shelburne Falls she worked for several years at Franklin Hospital in Greenfield. While in Buckland Connie was active in a number of community groups.

She made stained glass and belonged to the Shelburne Falls Artists Cooperative. She was a good writer, funny. She wrote short delightful memoirs and poems.

On Third Friday at Arms Library she would often read. She belonged to several book and writing groups in the area, was active in a local Sangha and was a member of the Emily Dickinson Society. Connie will be missed by family and friends.

She had a remarkable cheerful attitude, was generous and always exhibited a willingness to help others. There are no services at this time. A memorial service will be held in September on the Hill.
