Gerald F. Galipo, 88, formerly of Heath, died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Poet Seat Health Care Center in Greenfield. He was born in Heath on December 27, 1929 a son of Francis and Nora (Lively) Galipo. He attended school in Heath.

Gerald was a self-employed logger for some time prior to working for the Town of Heath Highway Dept. , a position he held for many years. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden.

Gerald was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Shelburne Falls. He is survived by four sisters; Anna M. Coombs of Hinsdale, NH, Margaret I. Bartlett of Brattleboro, VT, Teresa M. Peters of Heath, and Yvonne E. Allen of Valley Springs, CA, two brothers; Arthur E. Galipo of Young, AZ, and Raymond J. Galipo of Whitingham, VT, and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by a brother Lester Galipo, four sisters; Annette Galipo, Rita Galipo, Geneva Galipo and Ezilda G. Streeter, as well as four nephews and a niece.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 15 at 10:00 am, St. Joseph’s Church, 34 Monroe Ave. , Shelburne Falls.

Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
