Obituary for Zofia Haptas Zofia (Nowicki) Haptas, 87, of Woodland Park, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018. Zofia was born in Nowogrodek, Poland and moved to the United States in 1957. She lived in Elmwood Park for 3 years, then Clifton for 20 years, settling in Woodland Park in 1984.

She was a parishioner of Saint Philip the Apostle Parish in Clifton. Zofia was a Machine Operator at Marcal Paper Mill in Elmwood Park for 35 years retiring in 1985. She was the beloved wife, of 65 years, to Marian Haptas, of Woodland Park, devoted mother of Krystyna Jakimowicz and her husband, John, of Mendham, loving grandmother of Wesley and Jacqueline Jakimowicz, and dear sister of the late Czeslaw Nowicki and Irena Bobela.
