Obituary for Aaron Douglas Hackney Aaron Douglas Hackney, age 25, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and was baptized into the Bartlick Presbyterian Church in 2003. He was an avid horseman, loved canoeing, and the farm life.

He also loved his nieces and nephews very much. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jonathan Stump; his maternal grandparents, Verna and Edward Stump; his paternal grandparents, Gladys and Willie Hackney and Harold Eugene Hackney and Velcie Hackney, several uncles and a special aunt. Survivors Include: Parents: Harold and Brenda Hackney Fiancee: Chastity Ramey Brother: Steven and Latasha Stump Sisters: Mindy and Dennis Edwards and Renee Ann Hackney Nieces: Gracie Edwards, McKinley Stump, and Sailor Savage Nephews: Tanner Edwards, Brayden Stump, and Trey Sutherland A host of family and friends The family will receive friends and family Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Tarpon Freewill Baptist Church with services to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Tarpon Freewill Baptist Church with Jerry Vitatoe officiating.

Burial will follow in Tivis, Haysi, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Dennis Edwards, Rusty Sykes, Clinton counts, Brandon Barton, Chad Barton, Charles Bartley, Joe Fuller, Jonathan Bartley, and John Stanley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steven Stump, Tanner Edwards, Brayden Stump, Mark Hackney, David Yates, Jarold Church, Nevan Thacker, and Noah Thacker.
