Mr. Diaz was born on April 10, 1944 to Yolande Simon Diaz and Robert Diaz Jr He attended St. Augustine High School and Joseph S. Clark.

He worked and was part owner of the family business, Diaz Drayage Co., with his brothers for over 50 years. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Former member of the Plantation Revelers Carnival Club.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Bibolet Diaz, children Dina Diaz Jackson (Greg), Adam Diaz Jr. and Devon Diaz, and grandchildren, Angelie Diaz, Gianina Diaz, Greg Jackson Jr., Jayden Jackson and Alexander Diaz. Brother of Robert Diaz III (Gale), Carroll Diaz, Yolande Diaz Bevrotte (Louis), and Eva Diaz Morgan (Roland). Devoted cousin to Cecelia Haydel Robert.

Godfather to Lori Bevrotte Pannell, Dana Haydel, MD and the late Robert Diaz IV. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Corpus Christi – Epiphany Church 2022 St. Bernard Ave.

at 10 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date. Professional Arrangements entrusted to Majestic Mortuary 1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. New Orleans, Louisiana 70113.
