Agnes’ Obituary Agnes B. Sieberg, age 97, of Eagle Lake, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 5 at 11:00 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Agnes was born, a triplet, Aggie, Dolores, and Monica, on August 21, 1921 to Edward and Agnes (Novak) Smisek. They were incubated in a shoebox in a wood stove in the bun warmer.

She graduated from Milaca High School in 1942. On November 28, 1946, Agnes was united in marriage to Raymond Sieberg at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Aggie enjoyed quilting, knitting, and sewing, making lots of clothes for children.

She also loved bingo, playing cards, trips to the casino, and fishing. Aggie took many vacations, including trips to the Holy Land, Rome, and Yugoslavia. Aggie and Raymond wintered south for many years in Yuma, AZ.

Agnes is survived by two sons, Jim (Cathy) of Lake Washington and Jerry of Fairfield, CA; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores VanAlstine of St. Paul, MN Irene Dietz of Oregon City, OR, Mary Schmitt of Forrest Lake, MN, and Ruth Brooks of Mt. Vernon, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; daughter, Janice Jacobsen; son, Richard; sisters, Anna Jefferson, Monica Schipreth, and Seberina Bighley; and brothers, Wilfrid, Edward, George, Alvin, Leo, and Milton Smisek.
