There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Zachary Coulter, assisted by Deacon Richard Milanek, at 1 pm. Saturday July 28, 2018 at Saint Luke Church for Agnes Viola (Colla) Kiraly, 87, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24.

Agnes was born on August 28, 1930 in Youngstown to Paul and Angelina Orlando Colla. Shortly after her birth, Agnes’ parents moved back to Palermo, Sicily where Agnes would spend the first 16 years of her life. After World War II, Agnes and her family returned to Youngstown where they resided on the South side.

Agnes was a graduate of South High School and went on to work for General Electric. While in her youth, Agnes loved to go to dances. It was at one of these many dances that she met her husband, John, Agnes married John Kiraly on June 2, 1956 at Saint Dominic Church in Youngstown.

They were among the first couples to be married at Saint Dominic. The couple settled on the South side where they began raising their family. Agnes was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker until her husband established his own business in the early 70’s.

At this time, she dedicated herself to making their business a success by working as the office manager and bookkeeper, while still maintaining a house and her children’s upbringing. After moving to Canfield, Agnes became an active parishioner of Saint Michael’s Parish in Canfield and was a dedicated volunteer for her church and for the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. She filled her day with house work and keeping busy.

She even worked into her 80’s at Giant Eagle when she decided that “staying at home wasn’t for her”. She also loved watching movies and enjoying music in the park. Most of all, Agnes enjoyed spending time with her family.

Agnes leaves to cherish her memory her husband John of 62 years, and will always be remembered by her children; Stephen (Debra) Kiraly of Alexandria, VA, April (Rick) Milanek of Boardman, Simone (John) Sinclair of Canfield, and Angela Kiraly-Logan of Cincinnati, her grandchildren; Adam (Hayley), John (Krysta), and Jessica Kiraly, Nichole (Seth) Wilkinson, Angela (B.J.) Montgomery, Jeffrey Sinclair and Anna Marie and Zoe Logan, and her great-grandchildren; Charlotte, Olivia, Leah, Luke, Jaxon, Lily and Zeke. Besides her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Sam and Nick Colla. Family and friends may call Friday July 27, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm.
