Obituary for Alan Curtis Alan David Curtis, longtime resident of Sterling Heights, went to his Heavenly home on September 3, 2018, surrounded by the love of his wife. He was 66 years of age. Alan was born in Detroit Michigan on September 27, 1951, son of the late Harold and Rose (Kazala) Curtis.

He was United in marriage to his beloved wife, Kathleen Alter, on May 21, 1983 at St. Angela Catholic Church of Roseville Michigan. Alan had a successful career at KEO Cutters for 37 years, retiring January 2016. Alan enjoyed golfing and looked forward to the summer months with his friends on the Sterling Heights Golf League.

He was an avid reader who enjoed the art of woodworking. When it came to children, he was the world’s greatest uncle who enjoyed babysitting two generations of nieces and nephews. His greatest joy was traveling alongside his wife, Kathy, where they shared many memorable moments and enjoyed life.

He absolutely loved hanging out with his furry feline friends, Pierre, Zeus and Elvis. He was a member of the St. Clair Shores Moose Lodge #1837. Above all, he loved his Lord and served as President of the St. Vincent de Paul of St. Ephrem.

Alan never met a stranger and understood the true value of friendship. He will be deeply missed and Alan’s light will continue to shine in our hearts forever. Alan is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy; dearest brothers,Rodney and Kenneth; many beloved nieces and nephews; and cherished friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1pm – 8pm with a Sharing Service at 6pm at Faulmann and Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser. A Mass will be celebrated at St. Ephrem Catholic Church, 38900 Doge Park, Sterling Heights, on Monday at 11am with additional visitation starting at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the St. Vincent de Paul/ St. Ephrem in Alan’s memory.
