Obituary for James Derouin James “Jim” Derouin, of Sterling Heights & formerly Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on October 18, 2018. He was 63 years old. Jim was born on January 17, 1955 in Mt.

Clemens, Michigan to Edgar and Betty (nee Jackson) Derouin. He worked for many years as a service technician in pest control. Outside of his work, Jim enjoyed playing video games, watching old movies (especially Westerns), and attending family gatherings.

Above all, Jim was a hard worker who took great pride in his achievements, and was a true family man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim is survived by his loving siblings, Paul (Denise) Derouin, Steven Derouin, Allan Murphy, Sharon (Steve) Szmiot, Loree (John) Angevine, Lisa (Kevin) White, and Linda (the Late Stanley) Derouin; cherished nieces and nephews Jeff, Scott, Anne, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Madison, Samantha, Joseph, Allie, Brendan, and Jacob; and many beloved great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Private internment was held at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Faulmann and Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home in Fraser.
