Obituary for Hugh “Huey” Russell Morrison Hugh “Huey” R. Morrison, of Center Line, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on November 13, 2018 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He was 53 years old. Huey was born on April 4, 1965 in Alma, Michigan to Hugh and Alice Morrison.

He was given the gift of working with his hands and had a success career as a prototype welder for Dana Corporation. Huey married the love of his life, Kelly, on October 7, 2017 at White House Wedding Chapel in Warren. Outside of his work, Huey enjoyed riding his motorcycle, race cars, guns, and going to concerts with Kelly.

He was a proud member and rider of the AMVET’s and American Legion. Huey was truly a man’s man, who always put others before himself. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

Huey is survived by his loving wife Kelly; cherished daughters Alicia Morrison and Amanda LaVere; beloved grandchildren Paul, Lilly, Riker, Vivian, and William; and dear sister Allison Vermeylen. He was preceded in death by his parents. Huey is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
