Obituary for Hugh John Kolman Hugh J. Kolman, a longtime resident of Roseville, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Troy. He was 86 years old. Hugh was born on April 1, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Cecilia (nee Wierski) Kolman.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Lake Charles Air Force Base in Louisiana. Hugh married the love of his life, Betty L. Zytowski on November 7, 1953 in Highland Park, Michigan and made their first home on base in Louisiana. Hugh worked until 2017 as a Certified Public Accountant and operated his own firm for many years.

Outside of his work, he was an avid reader, enjoyed collecting knives, and also loved to spend time with his family; and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was always known for his attention to detail. Hugh will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Hugh is survived by his beloved wife Betty; loving children Suzanne (Arthur) Williams, Glenn M. Kolman, David A. Kolman, Linda M.Short, and Lisa (Raymond) Motyka; and his cherished eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by many friends, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Sylvia, Cynthia, and John.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 2-8pm at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastors Michael Osminski and Alex Silva officiating. Additional visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10am until time of service.
