Obituary for Theresa L. Rinehart Theresa Lavern Rinehart, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully in her home on December 17, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 87 years of age. Theresa was born on May 3, 1931 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, daughter of the late Lovel and Ruby (Futrell) Berkley.
She was united in marriage to her beloved husband Glenn McBride Rinehart on June 12, 1951 in St. Clair Shores. The couple made their home in Fraser in 1956 and was blessed with three beautiful children of whom they loved and cherished. Theresa’s family always came first and she made sure her children were raised with family values in a loving home.
She had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. Theresa loved to tend to her yard in the warm summer months. She enjoyed sewing and loved to cook for her family and friends.
Theresa loved angels and has a beautiful collection. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother and a caring grandmother and great grandmother who treasured wonderful memories throughout her lifetime. Although we grieve her passing, we are truly grateful for our beloved mother who taught us to be kind and compassionate to others by the life she has led.
Her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever. Theresa is the devoted wife of the late Glenn; dearest mother of Gary (Deborah) Rinehart, Shelley (Nick) Burko, Debbie (Kenneth) Kowal; cherished grandmother of Christopher (Allison), Sean (Kristen), Erica (Alex), Alysia, Annette and Christy; and beloved great grandmother of Abbey, Owen, Averie, Callie, Zoey, Cassi and Oliver. Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, Wednesday 2pm – 8pm and Thursday 10am until the time of funeral at 11am.
