Obituary for Roger William Peruzzi Print Roger William Peruzzi, longtime resident of Sterling Heights, died peacefully January 22, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 78 years of age. Roger was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 6, 1940, son of the late Arthur and Marie (Mastroinni) Peruzzi.

After High School, Roger served our country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to Sharron Ann Pinkston on June 27, 1964 and their vows were blessed at Our Lady of the Sea of Grosse Pointe. The couple built there home in Sterling Heights and was blessed with two beautiful children of whom he loved and cherished.

He began a career with Ford Motor Company for 35 dedicated years. After retirement, his goal was to travel with Sharron. The couple started riding their motorcycle across the country, visiting all 48 states.

Roger was a motorcycle enthusiast and was involved in many motorcycle groups. Roger and Sharron are the founding members of the Resurrection Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association. They also were very strong in Christian Ministries.

He touched so many people along his way through his ministries and love. He was a faithful member of St. Ephrem Catholic Church since 1965; volunteering where he was needed. Roger favorite pastime was enjoying a good book and shooting on the range.

Above all, he was a family man who was a devoted husband, loving and supporting father and a proud grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed each in every moment shared with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were the apple of his eye. Roger led by example with love and respect.

His friendship he extended to others was truly a blessing. He will be greatly missed. Roger is the beloved husband of 54 years to Sharron; dearest father of Tracie and Michael; cherished grandfather of Amber (Gary) Mayes, Kayla, Malissa, Antonino and Trinitee; adored great grandfather of Skylar and Emma Mayes; and dear brother of Rochelle (George) Koshko, Arthur (Sharon) and the late Philip Peruzzi.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, on Friday from 2pm – 8pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ephrem Catholic Church of Sterling Heights on Saturday at 11am with additional visitation starting at 10am. Memorial contibutions may be addressed to St. Joseph Indian School, Chamberlain, SD 57328.
