Obituary for Ursula C.C. Szlaczky Ursula C.C. Szlaczky, a long time resident of St. Clair Shores, died peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 84 years. Ursula was born in Detroit on August 7, 1934, a daughter of the late Fritz and Dorothee (Brounschweiger) Kortebein. In her early years she worked for Fisher Body of Detroit where she met herbeloved husband Carl Szlaczky.

The couple were united in marriage on October 22, 1960 in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Detroit. They made their first home in Centerline, moving to St. Clair Shores in 1961.

She had worked for Montgumery Wards as a credit manager for many years before retirement. Ursula loved to paint, enjoyed traveling and supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities, even camping. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, especially the Viennese Waltz.

Ursula was a very caring, loving, and giving person who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ursula is survived by her loving children, Mark, Monica (Peter) Rynearson, and Susan (David) Raicevich; her adoring grandchildren, Abigail, Philip, Leah, Alex, Christa and Nick and her sister, Elke(Rolf) Ehmke. She was preceded in death by her brother Werner Kortebein and by her beloved Husband, Carl on October 9, 2017.

Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd. , Fraser, Wednesday from 2pm till 8pm and Thursday from 10:30am till time of funeral service at 11am in St. Peter Lutheran Church of East Pointe. Burial will follow in Cadillac Memorial Gardens.

A life celebration will be held at Infinity Hall of Fraser following the committal service. Memorial contributions in her honor to the church appreciated. Share memories with the family at www.
