Obituary for Carol Louise Wendland Print Carol Louise Wendland, resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on January 26, 2019. She was75 years of age. Carol was born on November 18, 1943 in Mt.

Clemens, Michigan, daughter of the late John and Marjorie Hernandez. She was a 1961 graduate of Mt. Clemens High School.

Carol was a bookkeeper for many years. She was united in marriage to Russell William Wendland on April 22, 2006 in Roseville. The couple made their home in Clinton Township.

Carol was a lifelong Auxiliary member of the Fraser VFW. She was also, alongside her husband, a helpful member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles of Mt. Clemens #1121, the Loyal Order of the Moose of St. Clair Shores #1837 and the JFK Knights of Columbus of Fraser.

Carol loved socializing with her friends and family and understood the true value of friendship. She enjoyed tending to her garden in the warm summer months and loved to cook. Carol always looked forward to her annual trip to a different casino with her husband.

She will always be known for her loving smile and her warm embrace. Carol will be deeply missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever. Carol is the beloved wife of Russell; dearest step-mother of Roy (Cheryl) Wendland; cherished grandmother of Leah, Marissa and Jessica; dearest sister of Nancy (Paul) Nielson, Anita (John) Jozefowicz, John (Nena) and the late Jesse Hernandez; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Wednesday from 2pm – 8pm. A funeral will be held at St. John Lutheran Church of Fraser on Thursday at 11am with visitation starting at 10:30am. Share memories at www.
