Carol was born in Detroit on February 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (Schmidt) Kalinow. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Ralph B. Knebel and the couple raised two wonderful children. Carol prided herself as a loving mother, grandmother and wife.

She had worked in her early years for Toco Bell Restaurants and later for Kmart from which she retired. She was a loving and kind person who will be deeply missed by the many she has touched in her lifetime. Carol is survived by her husband, Ralph; her loving children, Jane (Richard) Fortune and James Knebel; her loving grandchildren, Aaron and Ashley and by her sister Linda Parsons Share memories with the family at www.
