Obituary for Nancy Maxson Nancy Ann Maxson, resident of Clinton Township, died unexpectedly October 4, 2018. She was 56 years of age. Nancy was born on August 20, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of W. Garry and Norene (DeBurie) Johnson.
She was united in marriage to Robert Maxson at Our Lady of Good Counsel of Detroit. The couple made their home in Warren and was blessed with two beautiful daughters of whom she loved and cherished. Nancy had great culinary skills and a wonderful personality; and brought her talent to the restaurant industry working many years at Lucky II Lounge of Detroit.
She was an outgoing woman who loved being around family; especially her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. Nancy enjoyed bowling and every year looked forward to camping with her family at Higgins Lake State Park. She will always be known for her her will to fight and that beautiful smile that would light up a room.
Nancy was a loving mother, cherished Nana; dearest sister and daughter who will be deeply missed. Nancy is survived by her beloved daughters Alicia (Andrew) Miller and Samantha (Donald Leydet) Maxson; cherished mother Norene Johnson; loving grandchildren Mackenzie, Mikayla, Brooklyn, and Dallas; and siblings Keith (Jo Ann) Johnson, Brian Johnson, and Sandra (Mark) Weidenbach. Nancy is also survived by many nieces and nephews of whom she dearly treasured.
She was preceded in death by her father W. Garry Johnson, former husband Robert Maxson, and brothers, Michael and Mark Johnson. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 2-8pm at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home with additional visitation beginning at 10am.
