Obituary for Alan J. Burger Burger, Alan J. Age 63. September 28, 2018 Beloved husband of Georgia. Dear father of Cary (Vida) Haase, the late Jamie Johnson and the late Stacy Haase.

Proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Larry (Linda) Burger, Jean (the late Michael) Bakos and Ken (Kathy) Burger. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Al and Georgia were married on December 22, 1986 in Houston, TX. While living in the Detroit area, he worked for SEMTA. He later became a licensed agent, working alongside Georgia at her State Farm Insurance Company.

He enjoyed traveling in the US and Europe. Al had a passion for antique cars and especially loved his white Jaguar, which he often allowed people to borrow for special occasions. Those who knew Al, knew of his love of food, with favorites being corn dogs, sausages and Merlot wine, but he will always be remembered as a kind, gentle, giving person, who was a big teddy bear.

The family will have a celebration of Al’s life in Spring 2019. Memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) 511 E.
