OBITUARY Albert A Laville Jr. August 29, 1925 – December 13, 2018 Albert A. Laville, Jr. age 93, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018. He was born in New Orleans on August 29, 1925 to the late Albert A. Laville, Sr. and Gertrude Smith Laville. Albert was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Gladys M. Gaspard Laville and his sisters, Yvonne Laville Pinto and Delores Laville Schwab.

Albert was Seaman 1st class in the Navy and was a WWII veteran. He later served as a police officer for the New Orleans Police Department for 22 years. After retiring from N.O.P.D.

he then worked for L.S.U. Medical Center for 29 years where he retired in 2000 as Director of Medical Center Police. Albert is survived by his sons, Albert Laville, III, Michael Laville (Dawn), David Laville (Barbara Ireland) and Mark Laville (Tonya) and his grandchildren, Amanda, Brittany, Mason and Megan Laville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lighthouse for the Blind, lighthouse-sf.org/donate/form/.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124, at 1 p.m. Public visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Followed by interment in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
