Albert’s Obituary Albert Apicella, age 90, of Millsboro, DE formerly of Baltimore, MD passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE. He was born in Baltimore, MD on April 28, 1928 son of the late James and Rose (Livolsie) Apicella). He was a graduate of the Warrens S. Seipp General Vocational School in Baltimore and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.

Al worked as a lithographer for Maran Printing in Baltimore with over 30 years of service before retiring and moving to the beach in the early 90’s. He was a former member of the Blue Star Pleasure Club and enjoyed bowling and hunting. His favorite pastime was fishing and boating.

He would often say, “I’m the world’s greatest fisherman”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Alfonse Apicella, Anthony Apicella, Angelo Apicella, Rita Spedelere, Theresa Apicella and Alfred Apicella. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Myra J. (LeCompte) Apicella; a son, William J. Apicella of Lewes, DE; a daughter, Anna Marie Apicella of Baltimore and an adopted son, Thomas M. Apicella of Baltimore.

He is also survived by a grandson, Albert E. Apicella and a sister, Rosemarie Denver. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd. , Millsboro, DE, where friends and family may call after 11 AM.

Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
