Obituary Service Details Albert Lee Rodgers, 87, of Findlay passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019. He was born on May 28, 1931 in Oblong, IL to the late Lloyd and Grace (Bailey) Rodgers. Albert married the late Pauline Kinkade with whom he had five children.

He then married Mary Jane Brookins and she preceded him in death. Mr. Rodgers is survived by his children, Janet (Jerry) Fuqua, Judith DiGiacomo both of Miami, FL, Nancy Goldstein of Keystone Heights, FL, Linda (John) Van Der Molen of Findlay, OH and Steven (Tela) Rodgers of Newburgh, IN, 15 grandchildren, Jeremy and Joy Fuqua, Daniel DiGiacomo, Laura Schultz, Sam Goldstein, Sara Soucie, Katie Wallace, Mary Griggs, Emily Goldstein, Loveda Watts, Logan, Larissa, Landon, and Levi Van Der Molen, and Kaden Rodgers, eight great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Delores Brown and Patsy Bird, as well as a great-granddaughter, preceded him in death.

Mr. Rodgers was a hardworking and generous Christian man. He graduated from Noble High School where he was the senior class president. He became a carpenter the day after graduating high school and continued his profession for 49 years working for Harv Decker, S.J. Meyers, Porfiri Brothers and Miami Dade County Schools where he retired in 1997.

He could build anything including a strong family. As a young man, Albert, and his wife Pauline, purchased the farm adjoining his parents’ property which he proudly owned throughout his lifetime. He lived in Miami, FL for more than 50 years.

He then made his home in Findlay, OH. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay where a prayer service will begin at 8:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Thrasher Family Funeral Home, Olney, IL where a funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019. Burial will be in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions can be made to H.A.T.S. or American Diabetes Association. There’s still time to send flowers to the Visitation at the Thrasher Family Funeral Home, LLC from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on March 22, 2019.
