Obituary of Albert Hollister Albert D. Hollister 75 of Poughkeepsie died Thursday January 17, 2019 at the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital. Al was a lifelong resident. Born in Hartford Ct.

on July 1, 1943 he was the son of the late Robert V. and the late Marian R. Corey Hollister. Al was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and after graduation went on to serve his country in the United States Army. On July 22, 1978 at St Joseph’s Church, Al married Kathy M. Mara who survives at home.

Al worked at Western Printing, IBM East Fishkill and after retirement was a bus driver for the Wappingers School District. Al loved to Golf; he played in the Tuesday Night McCann Golf League. Al also loved to bird watch, walk, enjoyed cooking and baking, his dog May and loved going to Maine on vacations.

Al is survived by his wife Kathy of Poughkeepsie, his son and his fiancé Albert A. Hollister and Megan Gonzalez of Poughkeepsie, his sister Onalova Lenehan and her husband William of Rhinebeck, his brother Richard J. Hollister and his wife Concetta of Summerfield Florida, his three brother in-laws Keith E. Mara of New Hampshire, William E. Mara and his wife Melinda of Poughkeepsie, Robert L. Mara of Beacon and several nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his parents and his brother Vincent R. Hollister. Calling hours will be held Saturday January 26, 2019 from 10am to 1230pm.

Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home at 1230pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like donations be made in Al’s name to North East Kidney Foundation 22 Colvin Ave.
