Alexander W. Marran, 96, formerly of Bentleyville, died Monday June 4, 2018 at Transitions of Washington. Born in Ellsworth on June 16, 1921, a son of Domenico and Filomena Zappone Marrama. Alexander was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus, and a life member of the Independent Club Bentleyville.

He was the owner of Al’s Body Shop from 1946 until his retirement in 1972. Alexander loved playing poker, and going to casinos. He was a bowler, golfer and avid hunter.

Surviving are a son Alex (Kathy) Marran of Scenery Hill, 3 daughters; Linda (Bob) Kvortek, Donna Collins, and Gina (Dane) Latta all of Bentleyville, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Mary Marran Gosney, a grandson Andrew Latta, 3 brothers; Patsy, Perino and Victor Marran, and 2 sisters Marion D’Andrea and Josephine Marran. Vistitation will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 from 5-7pm in the Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 405 Main St.,Bentleyville where a Blessing service will be held at 7pm on Friday with Rev.

James Bump officiating. Interment will be private.
