Alfred Bishop, age 70, of Mocksville, NC, formerly of Danbury, CT, departed this life the morning of Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. Born October 14, 1947, he served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He leaves behind his love of 51 years, Margaret Vidal “Peggy” Bishop; one son, Brian Bishop (Michele) of Mocksville; one daughter, Cynthia Bishop-Gran (Erik) of Southbury, CT; his nieces and nephews and eight wonderful grandchildren: The Grans – Erik, Jacob, Matthew, Isaac and Bethany, and the Bishops – Isabel, Alia and Marlee.

He loved sitting on the porch with his grandchildren and watching the birds. No public services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd.
