Alfred E. Jarboe, age 88 of Louisville, KY died Monday, 10-8-2018 at Symphony at Oaklawn. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on February 7, 1930, the son of the late Carl Francis Jarboe, Sr. and Blanche Jolly Jarboe. He retired from the United States Air Force, was a farmer and truck driver.

Alfred enjoyed being outdoors, walking and watching CNN News. He was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marie Jarboe, granddaughter Tera Dooley, siblings Earl, Howard and Mabel Jarboe, Agnes Pate, Ruth Risberg.

Alfred is survived by his children: Dana Morgan (Jeremiah) of Louisville, KY, Debbie Fentress (Greg) of Fisherville, KY, Tina Ball (Rod) of Hardinsburg, KY and Terry Dooley of Lewisport, KY 10 grandchildren: Collin, Evan and Kennedy Morgan, Neil Fentress (Heather), Lauren Weber (Nick), Justin and Ryan Dooley, Craig, Justin and Brooke Ball 11 great grandchildren brother – Carl Francis Jarboe (Thelma) of Hardinsburg, KY 2 sisters – Mildred Bettag of Cincinnati, OH and Lois von Nostitz of Louisville, KY several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church 408 North Highway 259 Hardinsburg, KY 40143 on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11 AM CST. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home 308 South Hardin Street Hardinsburg, KY 40143 on Wednesday, 3:30 – 8 PM CST and Thursday, 8- 10:30 AM CST.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to St. Romuald School Foundation or St. Romuald School Building Fund.
