Obituary for Alice Joyce Beaver Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mrs. Alice Joyce Beaver, 82, passed away Tuesday, September, 24, 2018, at Holly Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Holly Springs, MS. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the Walnut Hills Recreational Room (2605 Walnut Hills Rd. , Oxford, MS 38655).

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Beaver was born in Etta, MS. She was described as an incredibly hard worker.

Mrs. Beaver also was known to be a wonderful cook. She was always fascinated with watching WWE wrestling on television. Mrs. Beaver was also one of the biggest Atlanta Braves fans there ever was.

Above all else, she was loving. Mrs. Beaver loved her family more than anything in this world. Mrs. Beaver is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Maxey) Potts of Oxford; two sons, Timothy L. Miller of Oxford, and Thomas Wayne (Renee) Miller of Fulton, MS; five granddaughters, Rebecca Bradford of Olive Branch, MS, Sarah Potts of Oxford, Kourtney Anne (Mark) Moore of Etta, MS, Tracy (Bill) Arnold of Adamsville, TN, and Amber Lauren (Robbie) Williamson of Crenshaw, MS; two grandsons, Chris (Dottie) Potts and Justin Tyler Miller of Oxford; one brother, Paul Watson of Atoka, TN; one sister, Mary Percell of Yocona, MS; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Beaver is preceded in death by her first husband, Byron Glen Miller; her second husband, Roland Beaver; her parents, George Harvey Watson and Effie Mae Dart Watson; one daughter, Janice Marie Miller; two sisters, Ella Watson Ferguson and Polly Baker; and two brothers, Leland Watson and Chesley Watson.
