Allen Ward Griffith, 85, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Allen was born March 28, 1934 in Pine Bank, PA to the late John and Regina Griffith. Allen is preceded in death by two great loves.

At the age of 17 he married Mina Faye. They were married for 20 years. They had 7 sons, Wade (Krissa), Randy (Wendy), Ricky (Sandra), Scott (Brenda), and the late Gregory, Keith and Bradley Griffith, 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

His second great love was Lula Faye, known as Faye. They were married for 27 years. Allen gladly embraced his 5 bonus children: Melody Sue Williams (Robert), Vicki Lou McDaniel (Richard), Cynthia Ann Rankin, Pamela Kay Gowens (Kenneth), Anthony (Tony) Lamonte Smith (Karyn).

Plus10 bonus grandchildren, and 18 bonus great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Norma Umphrey, Patricia (Leroy) Crampton, John (Joan) Griffith, and Sally Hager; He is preceded in death by his youngest sister, Nancy Hollers. Allen had one other great love and that was being an over the road truck driver.

He and Faye owned Griffith Trucking for many years. His handle was Yankee Doodle Dandy and Faye’s was Betsy Ross. He loved meeting new people, talking about his travels as a trucker, and watching westerns on T.V. Graveside service will be at 11:00am, Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Highland Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest next to his wife who preceded him in death, Lula Faye Smith Griffith.
